Mr. Long joined Thompson | Dorfman Partners, LLC in early 2014, and is responsible for project specific preconstruction and construction activities. Prior to joining Thompson | Dorfman, Mr. Long was a Development Manager for the Foundation for Senior Living in Phoenix, Arizona, and focused on developing senior living communities throughout the state of Arizona.  He was responsible for the full entitlement, predevelopment, and construction management of 6 new multi-family projects as well as the rehabilitation of three multi-family communities.  His work extended to subdivision design, construction quality control, scheduling and company representation throughout the pre development and rezoning process.

Prior to the Foundation for Senior Living, Mr. Long worked for American Homebuilder’s, Inc., of Seattle, WA, as a Project Manager/Owner’s Representative, building luxury apartment communities.  His responsibilities included the oversight and management of large apartment communities from plan development through project closeout.  Mr. Long has also worked in the field of affordable housing development, and is the former Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Flagstaff, Arizona.

Mr. Long has a Master’s of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Arizona and is a licensed General Contractor in the State of Arizona.
