Sausalito, CA (March 11, 2004) -- Thompson | Dorfman, the Sausalito-based multi-family development and advisory firm, said today that framing has begun on a new high-end Santa Rosa apartment community, and the firm has experienced significant success in leasing another recently completed community. Both of these projects are being developed in venture with Opus West Construction.
T|D Partner, Will Thompson said that the firm's brightly-colored Mediterranean-style community, The Overlook, off highway 101 on Bicentennial, is the first high end multi-family community built in Sonoma County in the past ten years. The property, which was completed in November, has leased 75% of its 78 units. Of the one, two and three-bedroom plans made available to the market, he said that average rents approach $2,000 per month. All units have attached garage parking and custom finishes including granite counter tops and upscale lighting packages.
Thompson also said that the firm has moved past land preparation and into the framing phase of its 124-unit Boulders Community now under construction on an 11.8-acre site also off Highway 101 in Fountaingrove. The new rental apartment community is expected to begin leasing in June, with first occupancies scheduled for August. Like The Overlook, rents at The Boulders will also range between $1400 for one bedroom models to $2750 for three bedroom models.
